Our Story
Coffee’s story starts in Ethiopia — legend has it that local communities in the Ethiopian highlands first noticed the energizing effect of red coffee berries, brewing them into a drink called “qahwa,” the ancestor of the coffee we drink today. From there it spread across Arabia and into Europe, becoming one of the world’s most loved beverages.
Black Bean Coffee Roastery carries that tradition forward. Our beans are grown in the heart of Ethiopia’s coffee country and roasted fresh to order, so every bag reaches you carrying the authentic taste of its origin.
The Coffee: Yirgacheffe Grade 1
A wet-processed coffee grown at 1,700–2,200m above sea level in southern Ethiopia — one of the region’s most celebrated coffee-growing areas. Expect a hint of spice and a nutty flavor in the cup.
